Speak At FST Expo
SIFMA is seeking high-level speakers who are acknowledged experts in their fields to speak at the Financial Services Technology Expo. SIFMA welcomes speaking proposals that deal with technology solutions to issues facing financial services organizations in this era of unprecedented regulatory reform. Speakers are selected based on the most relevant content and potential audience interest.
Speaking Proposal Submissions
Speaking proposals should be submitted to Howard Sprow, Vice President Technology and BCP, hsprow@sifma.org. Proposals must include a speaker bio, the presentation title and a short (half page) description of the presentation content. There is no specific submission deadline. Proposals are reviewed and selected as they are received beginning in December 2009, so it is best to submit proposals early.

Three Distinct Speaking Opportunities
1. Expo Theater Presentations
The Expo Theater offers a unique opportunity to address the full Conference audience plus the Exhibit Hall audience in a “theater-in-the-round” environment. Theater presentations will be fast-paced and to-the-point and focus on the current technology hot button issues.
Location: The Expo Theater is located in the Grand Ballroom Exhibit Hall on the 3rd floor of the hotel.
Audience: The Expo Theater is open to all Conference attendees plus all Exhibit Hall attendees. The Theater area will hold an audience of 500+. See Expo attendee profiles below.
Schedule: Speaker slots are 30 minutes each and are scheduled at various times on all three days of the Expo. See Program Schedule for details.
Subject Matter: Major product or service announcements, current technology challenges and solutions, future visions.
Potential Speakers: Senior technology executives, recognized technical experts
Available Sponsorships: Co-sponsorships are available for the FST Expo Theater
2. “Lab Sessions”
The Conference component of the Expo includes four content tracks, each featuring three Lab sessions. Lab sessions are scheduled on Day 1 and Day 2 of the Expo. Sessions in each of the tracks run concurrently and Conference registrants may attend any session in any track. Lab sessions are not open to attendees who register only for the Exhibit Hall.
Location: Breakout rooms are on the 2nd floor of the hotel.
Audience: 75 Conference attendees per Lab session. Nearly 50% of the Conference attendees are C-Level Executives, Sr. Managing Directors and Senior VPs. Other Conference attendees are mostly Managing Directors and VPs.
Schedule: One round of Lab sessions on Day 1 and two rounds of Lab sessions on Day 2. See program schedule for details.
Subject Matter: Track 1 - Trading and Market Technology
Track 2 - Settlement and Infrastructure Technology
Track 3 - Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery
Track 4 - Cyber Security
Potential Speakers: Senior technology managers, recognized experts
Available Sponsorships: Sponsorships are available for each subject track.
3. “Solution Centers”
There are four Solution Center sessions at the Expo that are available to vendors on a sponsorship basis.
Location: Solution Centers are located on the 2nd floor of the hotel.
Audience: Solution Centers are open to all Conference attendees as well as all Exhibit Hall attendees. Each room will hold 75 people. See attendee profiles below.
Schedule: Four different Solution Center sessions will be held concurrently on Expo Day 2 (Wednesday, 6.23), 10:45 AM to 11:45 AM.
Subject Matter: Major product or service announcements and technology solutions. Vendors are encouraged to present broad technical content not just promotional material.
Potential Speakers: Vendor presenters or technical experts sponsored by vendors
Available Sponsorships: Sponsorships are available for individual Solution Center sessions
