In attendance were close to 90 women from a wide scope of the financial services sector, with majority participation from Senior level women; Managing Directors, Executive Directors, Associate Directors, Directors, AVPs, SVPs, VPs, Associates and Analysts. The participating firms that evening include Barclays Capital, Citi, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Financial Times, French Chamber of Commerce, Goldman Sachs, ICAP, JPMorgan Chase, Macquarie Bank, Mallesons Stephen Jaques, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Standard Chartered, State Street, SWIFT, The Bank of New York Mellon, Thomson Reuters and UBS. Ms. Valerie Beyssade (Team Global Network), a multi-cultural leadership coach facilitated the event with her educational presentation "How to be a Successful Woman in Finance". The presentation was a comprehensive look at behaviors, beliefs, assumptions and attitudes - backed by extensive research. Overall, it was a highly interactive and informative evening. Feedback from the event was very positive; over 79% of the participants rated the overall event 8/10 and higher. We also gathered very useful comments on how we can improve in future events, topics of interest and challenges that face women.

The Event was instrumental in generating a number of offers to volunteer for the WiFA Subcommittees. We would like to take this opportunity to remind participants to volunteer for a Subcommittee - there are four in total; Community Outreach, Education, Events, Mentoring - any help is much appreciated!
